All of our mental health professionals are regulated by one or more of the following UK-based bodies:
-

Each practitioner must meet the standards set forth by their respective regulatory bodies to ensure the highest levels of care and professionalism.
Global Availability and Timezone Considerations
Mind to Womb is a UK-based online therapy platform, but we offer global therapy sessions. Our services are available to clients worldwide, with each session tailored to the local timezone of the client.
At the point of login, our platform will automatically detect your timezone, allowing you to select an appointment time that works best for you. This will also be reflected in your booking confirmation and reminder emails.
Important Note:
Mind to Womb does not automatically update your timezone if you change your location after booking a session. It is your responsibility to update your location in the platform to ensure the correct session time. If you fail to do so, you may risk missing your session. In such cases, our standard cancellation and rescheduling policies will apply.
We strongly recommend that clients make a note of any time zone changes from the point of booking to avoid any confusion or missed appointments.
Payment Terms and Refund Policy
-
Therapy Sessions: Fees for therapy sessions are due at the time of booking. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please refer to our cancellation policy below.
-
Refunds: Refunds are only issued under specific circumstances, such as if a service is not delivered within a reasonable time frame due to our fault or error. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
-
Cancellations: If you wish to cancel or reschedule a session, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, a cancellation fee may apply, or the full session fee may be charged.
-
Missed Appointments: Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will result in the session being charged in full. If you are late for a session, we may shorten the session time to ensure that the next appointment can begin as scheduled.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. All personal and sensitive information you provide to Mind to Womb will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Therapy sessions are confidential, and we will not disclose your personal information without your explicit consent, except in cases where we are required by law to do so
Safeguarding and Reporting Responsibilities
At Mind to Womb, we take the safety and well-being of our clients very seriously. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and confidential space for therapy and coaching. However, it is important to note that our Mental Health Practitioners are required by law and professional ethics to take action if safeguarding concerns arise during sessions.
Safeguarding Concerns:
If during a session, we become aware of any signs or disclosures related to abuse, neglect, or any other form of harm (whether emotional, physical, sexual, financial, or psychological), we are legally obligated to take steps to protect the individual(s) involved.
Types of abuse and neglect include, but are not limited to:
-
Child abuse or neglect (whether the client is pregnant, a mother, or caring for children)
-
Domestic abuse (including physical, emotional, psychological, or financial abuse)
-
Sexual abuse or exploitation
-
Elder abuse or neglect (where relevant)
-
Self-harm or suicidal ideation
-
Substance abuse or addiction-related issues that affect safety
Our Legal Obligation to Report:
In the UK, Mental Health Practitioners, including therapists, coaches, and counselors, have a duty of care and are legally bound by both ethical and statutory obligations to report any safeguarding concerns to the relevant authorities, which may include:
-
Children’s Social Services (Child Protection)
-
Adult Social Services (for vulnerable adults)
-
The Police (in cases of immediate risk or danger)
-
NHS or other medical professionals (when there is concern for health or safety)
-
Other relevant safeguarding agencies or local authorities depending on the country of the client’s residence (especially in cases of international clients)
This is in line with The Children Act 1989 and The Care Act 2014 (in the UK) as well as various international child protection and adult safeguarding laws.
How We Handle Safeguarding Concerns:
If we have concerns about your safety or the safety of someone else, including children or dependents in your care, we will take the following steps:
-
Initial Discussion: We will inform you about our safeguarding responsibilities and explain that we may need to take action if concerns arise.
-
Consultation and Reporting: In most cases, we will attempt to discuss concerns with you and agree on the best course of action. However, if there is an immediate risk to your safety or someone else’s, we may need to act quickly and contact the relevant safeguarding authorities without your consent.
-
Confidentiality: Although confidentiality is a cornerstone of our services, it is not absolute in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. The need to protect life and well-being outweighs confidentiality obligations in these instances.
-
Referral and Support: We may refer you to additional support services or resources, such as local social services, emergency shelters, or mental health services, as appropriate. Our goal is to ensure you have the necessary support to ensure safety and well-being.
International Clients:
For international clients, while our services are based in the UK, we recognize the diversity of laws and requirements in different countries. We will make every effort to adhere to the relevant laws governing safeguarding and child protection in your country of residence. Should we identify any safeguarding risks during a session, we will refer to the relevant local or international agencies that specialize in handling these concerns.
Examples of Situations That May Trigger Reporting:
-
If a client discloses they are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse or violence.
-
If a client shares information that suggests their child is at risk of neglect or harm.
-
If a client is suicidal or at risk of self-harm and refuses to engage in appropriate support services.
-
If a client’s mental health concerns are causing significant harm to themselves or others.
-
If there is evidence that an individual is unable to care for their children or other dependents due to substance abuse or untreated mental health conditions.
Your Acknowledgment and Consent:
By engaging with Mind to Womb’s services, you acknowledge that you have been informed of our safeguarding obligations and consent to the possible need for us to report concerns as outlined above. We understand that this can be a sensitive and distressing matter, and we aim to handle all situations with the utmost care, respect, and professionalism.
Conclusion:
We are committed to providing the highest standard of care and to ensuring that all clients feel safe and supported. While our primary role is to offer therapy, coaching, and counseling services, we also take seriously our responsibility to act in situations where the safety and welfare of our clients or others are at risk. If you have any concerns about these terms or need clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us before engaging in services.
This expanded section clearly outlines your responsibility to report safeguarding concerns while also making sure clients are aware of the potential legal and ethical obligations that therapists have in these situations. It can also help build trust with your clients, ensuring they feel confident that their well-being is prioritized. Let me know if you need any further adjustments!

Mind to Womb reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Revised" date. Please review these Terms regularly to stay informed of any modifications.
